Curriculum
Our curriculum immerses children in a language-rich environment to build a lifelong love of reading and strong communication skills. Through interactive storytelling, rhymes, and poems, children develop not just the ability to speak and listen, but the confidence to express their own ideas and understand others. We build foundational skills for writing and reading through phonics and creative mark-making, ensuring every child is ready to thrive on their journey to Key Stage 1.
We build a deep and confident understanding of numbers and patterns. Through hands-on activities, games, and the use of practical resources, children explore numbers up to 10, learning about their relationships and composition. Our approach develops crucial spatial reasoning skills by investigating shapes and measures, fostering a positive, “have-a-go” attitude that encourages them to spot connections and solve problems without a fear of making mistakes.
Our program is vital for developing happy, healthy, and active children. Through energetic play, both indoors and outdoors, children develop core strength, balance, and agility. We provide a wide variety of activities, from climbing and jumping to using small tools and pencils, which refines the gross and fine motor skills that are essential for everything from healthy living to early writing.
We guide children to make sense of their physical world and community. Through hands-on exploration, stories, and engagement with visitors, children learn about different people, cultures, and environments. This expands their knowledge and vocabulary, helping them understand the past, observe the natural world, and describe their immediate surroundings, fostering a broad and inclusive perspective.
We help children lead healthy, happy lives by building strong, supportive relationships and a positive sense of self. Children are supported to manage their emotions, develop confidence in their abilities, and understand the feelings of others. Through guided interaction and play, they learn to cooperate, resolve conflicts, and manage their personal needs independently, providing a secure platform for all future learning.
Our curriculum supports children’s imagination and creativity by providing regular opportunities to engage with a wide range of materials and media. Children explore art, music, dance, and role-play to communicate their ideas and express what they see, hear, and feel. These experiences are fundamental to developing their ability to interpret the world, share their creations, and build a rich vocabulary.
